🇺🇸✨ 150 Years of Tradition. 250 Years of Freedom. ✨🇺🇸

The Newark Fourth of July Committee is incredibly proud to share our community will be celebrating a truly historic milestone in 2026 the 150th Anniversary of the Newark Fourth of July Parade and America’s 250th Birthday!

On July 4th, we will honor the generations before us who built this tradition celebrating hometown pride, patriotism, and the spirit that has carried this parade forward for a century and a half.

And this year… we’re expanding the celebration with more detailed information to come.

On July 5th, join us for The Great American Hometown Picnic a throwback community gathering filled with food, fellowship, and family fun.

The evening will feature:
🎶 A live performance by Chicagoland Pops Orchestra
🎵 A stirring presentation of the I Love America Cantata
🎆 And the night will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the Newark sky

This is more than an event it’s a once-in-a-generation celebration. And we can’t do it without you.

We are actively looking for additional volunteers to help with planning, logistics, fundraising, sponsorship outreach, day-of coordination, and more. Whether you can give a few hours or want to be part of shaping history, there is a place for you on this team.

This morning’s sunrise painted the sky in the most beautiful shades of pink and gold a reminder that every day begins with possibility, gratitude, and the people we’re blessed to love.

If you’ve been out and about attending community events lately, chances are you’ve seen this familiar face.

Wayne, our Director of Business Development at Newark Place Event Venue, is always on the move connecting, collaborating, and building relationships throughout our communities.

From the Plano IL Area Chamber of Commerce, Sandwich Area Chamber of Commerce and the Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce to the KenDeSalle Small Business Resource Group, and countless coffee meetings, luncheons, and ribbon cuttings in between… Wayne shows up. Every time.

He believes strong businesses build strong communities and he’s committed to making sure Newark Place is part of that growth.

If you see Wayne out and about, be sure to say hello. He’s probably headed to his next meeting or community event.

This is where generations of memories meet the excitement of what’s ahead. From waving flags along the parade route to fireworks lighting up summer skies, we’re beginning the planning for a celebration that honors where we’ve been and where we’re going.

💙 Calling All Volunteers! ❤️
The Fourth of July celebration has always been powered by community and the 150th year will be no different. We’re looking for volunteers who want to help plan, organize, decorate, fundraise, coordinate events, or lend a hand wherever needed. Whether you’ve volunteered before or this would be your first time, your involvement matters.

If you’ve ever watched the parade, marched alongside neighbors, helped behind the scenes, or made lifelong memories with family and friends on the Fourth this is your chance to be part of history. We also need photos from the past parades. Please email them to [email protected] or call Charlene at (224) 325-1615 to make arrangement to have the images scanned.

We had an amazing time attending the Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce Business Women Connect Christmas Party surrounded by inspiring, talented, and driven women who truly make our community shine.
