Paying homage to outstanding Filipino Americans for their bodies of work that helps inspire the youth as well as the entire community towards the quest for excellence. That is why the mission of the People’s Ball is to celebrate the role of Fil-Ams in the U.S. economy, its diverse culture, and good governance through the annual Empowerment Awards. Achievers
in various professions, businesses and industries, the humanities and social services are recognized for accomplishments in their respective fields. In view of formidable health and fiscal issues that challenged the U.S. and most of the world, the list of the 2021 Empowerment Awardees focuses on healthcare professionals and frontline economic workers who put their lives at risk during the pandemic. A proud community honors their selflessness and courage that played a crucial role in the lives and livelihoods of thousands. We dedicate this year’s People’s Ball to these public servants – the awardees and the countless other Fil-Am frontline workers throughout the 50 states – and call on our guests to share in our gratitude.
