"For the first time ever, a boxing ring was set up in the House of Lords last night."
That was Ringside on The River Terrace, part of the road to A Night of Solidarity.
Lord Andy Roe, Commissioner of the London Fire Brigade from 2020 to 2025 and now a member of the House of Lords, on Dale Youth: the club destroyed and then rebuilt under the flyover, where they trained in a car park in the days after the fire.
"An amazing community club set up by Ernie Harris and Mick Delaney. Smashing people, and representative of the sort of community and people that are down there."

The main event is Friday 13 November 2026. Kensington Town Hall, London. North Kensington Select v London Fire Brigade, 24 boxers, 12 bouts, sanctioned by England Boxing, in support of North Kensington youth sport and firefighter welfare.
