What if we told you that you didn't have to wait until Fall to experience the love and fellowship of an HBCU Homecoming? What if we told you that for the 2nd year in a row, New York City will host a special Spring Homecoming for graduates of HBCUs? That is exactly what's happening this April, in New York City, as the entire HBCUnion celebrates SpringComing'sTM return! That's right, we are throwing

a Homecoming….in the Spring…for ALL HBCU'S!! Nearly 1,000 attendees have already begun preparations for SpringComing'sTM return (April 20-22, 2018) and are gearing up for a weekend full of reliving unforgettable moments, making priceless memories and reconnecting with long lost friends! Last year, graduates from all over the nation, draped in school colors, poured their school pride all over New York City in a weekend full of events designed to feel like being back on the yard! Filled with opportunities to both party and network, this weekend, slated to draw a national audience of influencers from cities across the country, should not be missed!

NYC…we had to finish where the energy has always been undeniable…where it all began!

The final stop of the Road to TENure screening tour brought us to the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and Barclays Center, where culture, community, and purpose all met in the same room.

Special thanks to our presenting sponsor, the USTA, for helping make this moment possible and for standing alongside the Puissance Scholarship team as we awarded scholarships to deserving students enrolling at HBCUs this fall!!!

The first stop on The Road to TENure documentary screening tour was in Atlanta, Ga at the historic Morehouse College! And you know we weren’t leaving the A without a toast and a two step!

Big shoutout to everyone who made Da House our home for the day! Extra special love goes out to our scholarship award recipients, one of whom, Danielle Hood, was on hand to be presented her award by HBCUSpringComing in partnership with the family!

Y’all did THAT.

The response to our screening schedule has been nothing short of overwhelming, and honestly? We’re still blushing. Your love for HBCU SpringComing is the fuel that keeps this legacy burning bright!

Now... we come bearing news. The good kind, we promise.

We’ve secured a venue worthy of the energy you bring — none other than the iconic Barclays Center. Yes, THAT Barclays Center. The (tiny) catch? Greatness takes time. Our dates have been pushed back by a month to make this happen, and we know that’s an adjustment. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and hope you’ll still be there — fashionably on time, as always.

We’ve also shifted our PDX date by one day, for you know… vibes!

A gentle reminder for our family across all cities: while there are no park events this year, don’t let that stop you from pulling up! The fellowship, the vibes, and the celebration are very much alive — and honestly, that’s the whole point. Come out, find your people, and let’s make memories the way only we know how.
