Wow! 😮 What an amazing race day we had yesterday at our 7th Annual Cross Bay Triathlon/Duathlon! Sure, the water was a bit cold, but the weather turned out excellent. Glad to see so many of you out there having a great time racing. Congratulations to all of the finishers! 🏅

For many of you, it was your first time swimming in the Rockaway Beach waters, and that is no easy task. 🏊 You took on the Atlantic and earned every bit of that finish line feeling.

A huge thank you to our NYC and Federal lifeguards, along with the NYPD Harbor Patrol and FDNY Marine Unit, and FDNY EMS for helping us ensure a safe swim for everyone throughout the race. Your support and professionalism made this event possible.

We’re already looking forward to seeing you all again at the next race!

The 7th Annual Cross Bay Triathlon and Duathlon on May 17 is ON tomorrow! 🔥

We will have over 20 lifeguards, an FDNY EMS unit, and patrol boats from NYPD and FDNY on site to help ensure a safe swim for all athletes. 🏊 Tomorrow’s weather will be in the 60s, although the water temperature is still expected to be in the mid-50s, so bring your wetsuits!

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at Rockaway Beach for an awesome day of racing. Safe travels and good luck to all participants! 😊
