We’re excited to announce our 40th Anniversary Celebration Fundraiser on December 4th at the Bay Ridge Manor!!

Please come join Young Dancers in Repertory as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary with an evening that includes a dinner buffet, an open bar,  DJ, dancing, silent auction and more.  All to support YDR’s community programs and Carol Mezzacappa Scholarship fund!
 
The YDR’s mission since 1985 has been to provide greater access to the joy of dance for children and families via ongoing dance technique classes, Arts-in-Education & after school activities, multicultural programs and ensemble performances.

I just came back from Donating Blood at a local blood drive by the NY Blood Center. As we approach the holidays and winter months, this is something everyone of age and physically able should consider doing for themselves and their loved ones. What a simple way to give back to our community & to help our neighbors. It is so simple. You never know when you or some important in your life might need lifesaving blood. Do your part.

Thank you all who sent your thoughts, well wishes and remembrances of our beloved Carol. It was great to see those YDR Ensemble Alumni who were able to join us on Sunday. YDR will be Celebrating our 40th Anniversary next November, all inspired by Carol’s endless energy, artistry and love for children & dance. Please stay in touch.

Earlier this October YDR’s Ensemble performed at several Brooklyn venues which included a Multicultural Festival in Bensonhurst, and two Senior Centers in Sunset park. Dances included an Italian Tarantella, a Chinese Ribbon Dance and a modern dance work titled “A Little Off-Center, by George”.

20 years ago today our beloved Carol left this troubled world to be at Peace with her fellow Angels. Carol, your gentle Spirit continues to soar in our hearts.
