Scout Davis, alum and adjunct professor, recently published an interview with Lypsinka in "American Theatre." It is exciting to see Sands artists contributing not only through performance but also through writing, dialogue, and the ideas that shape the art form. 🎭

👉Read the full conversation for an insightful exchange between two artists thinking deeply about form and performance.

A La MaMa resident artist has a multi-generational check-in with Lypsinka, a.k.a. John Epperson, on an art form that can go deep by channeling widely.

Congratulations to Clinical Professor of Design Matsy Stinson on her costume design work for “Feels Like the First Time,” a new Foreigner musical directed by Adam Pascal on Long Island. 🎭👗🎶

Even better, she brought Sands students into the process. Production & Design students Kissel Barrantes ’28, Cassandra Booker ’28, Spencer Andrade ’28, and Mel Zago ’27 were part of the work behind this new production.

This is the kind of learning that matters. Real process. Real collaboration. Real connection to the field.

That’s a wrap on Junior Film #2, “NO, WE ARE NOT OKAY!”

Thank you to the cast, crew, mentors, faculty, Sands staff, and practicums for the time, energy, and collaboration behind this production. Long days and full weekends on set take focus, stamina, and trust, and this team brought all three.

This is the work. And this is where growth happens.

See our Junior Short Films this fall in our new performing arts spaces at One Pace Plaza East.🌟🎉🎥
