The Times put her in its top ten. Pina Bausch asked for her by name.

That's Arushi Mudgal, and for Athaah she's joined by Shalakha Rai and Sawani Mudgal for a piece built on a simple idea: three dancers, one language, boundless expression.

Odissi is a form of fluid lines and stillness held on purpose, and here it becomes the ground where three distinct artists move as one voice, then break apart into their own.

Watch how much a single language can hold when three bodies are speaking it.

This is our headliner for a reason. Catch it at the Erasing Borders Dance Festival2026.

An award-winning and critically acclaimed choreographer, Preeti Vasudevan (Preeti Vasudevan) has spent her career bridging ancient tradition with contemporary form, earning recognition as the 2018 Arts Ambassador of the US Department of State.

In Conversations with Cunningham & Cage, created with composer Kamala Sankaram, she sets her unconventional storytelling against the early work of two modern dance icons, moving through love, surprise, fear, peace, and anger.

A Tarana is supposed to be pure rhythm. No story, no emotion, just syllables and speed.

Radha Varadan (Radha Varadan) breaks the rule anyway, threading a love story into every beat.

Trained in both ballet and Kathak, and a Fulbright Nehru awardee, she moves between two worlds most dancers never combine.

Rhythm, with a heart hidden inside it. Catch her at the Erasing Borders Dance Festival 2026.

She was born Amba. She lived and died as Shikhandi, and the greatest warrior alive refused to raise a weapon against her, a refusal that cost him everything.

Shila Mehta (Shila Mehta), Salonee Satagar (Salonee) and Sanchita Dighe (Sanchita Dighe) bring that story to the stage in Nimitta, a Kathak trio drawn from the Mahabharata.

Through destiny, identity, and purpose, the work confronts gender bias and asks what it costs to become the instrument of someone else's
downfall.

Performing Day 1,
Saturday, September 19, 6 PM.

The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College,
68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues, New York City.

Performing at the Erasing Borders Dance Festival, September 19 to 20, 2026.

The Hunter and the Archer: Divine Duel between Shiva and Arjuna.

Shiva arrives in disguise, a hunter testing the greatest archer alive. Arjuna answers with dazzling brilliance, every arrow proof of his mastery.

Yet the true climax is quieter: the moment he sheds his ego and skill gives way to surrender.

Ganesh Vasudev and Nitya Narasimhan bring the Kiraatarjuniyam legend to the stage with their own interpretive and artistic liberties, hunter and archer illuminating each other in a duel of skill, strength and devotion.
