I didn't know what to say to someone who celebrates Ramadan.
When wishing someone who is celebrating Ramadan, you can use the following thoughtful greetings:
1. “Ramadan Mubarak”: This Arabic phrase means “Blessed Ramadan.” It conveys your good wishes for
their fasting and spiritual journey.
2. “Ramadan Kareem”: Another common greeting, it translates to “Have a generous Ramadan” or “Noble
Ramadan.” Some people believe it’s most appropriate to use this greeting before or after the holy month,
rather than during Ramadan itself.
3. “Eid Mubarak”: At the end of Ramadan, when Eid al-Fitr (the festival of breaking the fast) arrives, you
can wish someone “Eid Mubarak,” which means “blessed feast.”
4. “Eid Kareem”: Another greeting for Eid al-Fitr, it means “Have a generous Eid.” You may also say “kol
'am wa enta bekhair,” which translates to “may every year find you in good health”
