Up to 220 local independent artists, designers, craft-makers, and independent vintage and antique dealers sell one-

of-a-kind, rare, and limited edition goods. Be sure to come hungry for great artisanal food! In addition to our weekly market, we organize special themed events and pop-ups, see our event calendar for upcoming events. Our social mission is to donate 100% of our profits to four local public schools, benefiting over 2,000 children. And while doing so, providing much-needed affordable retail space to talented independent merchants helping our City stay creative and authentic!

NEW “BIRKIN OF MANHATTAN” ⁉️👜✨

is the mastermind behind the now-viral cowhide bags bearing his signature name. He made his very first bag 12 years ago — and has been handcrafting each piece ever since from his apartment in . 🧵

“After I created it, I was like, ‘Okay… I feel like I have a feel for handbags. This is something I can do.’ So I went back and took classes,” Laborde said.

But his passion for sewing wasn’t always encouraged back home in Haiti.

When asked whether his parents supported his craft before moving to the U.S., he shared:

“Actually yeah, my mother did. My father was not… because in Haiti, it’s seen as a thing — even cooking, sewing — all of that.”

Today, he’s setting trends right here in the heart of New York City with a bag some are calling the “Birkin of Manhattan.”

TBT our Rainy Memorial Day weekend at Grand Bazaar NYC ☔️

A little drizzle doesn’t stop our devotees! The market still brought the vintage finds, handmade goods, cozy shopping moments, cold drinks, neighborhood energy, and the kind of Upper West Side weekends we love most.
Thank you to everyone who came out to shop local, explore the market indoors, and spend the long weekend with us.
