a. What happens if rain dropping - At 6 pm Start time, or After CPT event begins ?
No Worries - We continue dancing nearby UNDER ROOF COVER at “The Dairy” Visitors Center (just south of Shakespeare statue; or just north of Wollman Rink);
b. What happens if there is Very Bad Weather ?
Very RARE Cancellation will occur - Only If - there are Dangerous High Winds, or All-Day Non-Stop Downpour, or Extreme Heat, or Hurricane approaching, etc; These are Very UNCOMMON conditions; Also check our CPT Group site for related posting/news;
c. When and where does CPT happen ?
EVERY Saturday in Central Park from 6 pm to 9:30 ish during June, July, August and September at the Shakespeare Statue plaza (south end of The Mall);
d. Is there a Tango Class given ?
At each event, a FREE Beginners class - No Partner needed - starts around 7:15;
e. What is the Best Access into the park for CPT ?
From EAST Side, on 5th Ave between 66/67 th Sts (near Soldiers statue); From WEST Side - at Tavern On The Green restaurant; From Both access points, walk towards center, while listening for Tango music;
f. Do most people go with dance partners ?
NO. Almost all participants find friendly unknown/unexpected dance partners from the start to the end of each event; There are countless stories of enjoyable experiences & surprises;
g. What shoes should be worn at CPT ?
Keep in mind that the floor is not wood; You may prefer shoes that reduce friction and let you turn easier; So you may NOT prefer to wear your Best/New shoes; Simply said: Wear what will make you feel worry-free & comfortable on an outdoor surface;

Each CPT participant (incl. dancers, hosts, DJs, instructors, visitors, organizers, etc) must Act and Speak in a RESPECTFUL and LEGAL manner towards other participants; If not, the person will be asked to leave the event, and may not be allowed back to future events; IF NEEDED, Park Security or NY Police will be called, in which case, the offending person would be banned permanently.
2. Each CPT participant accepts SOLE responsibility for their decision(s) related to Any CPT event/activity, incl. FULL acceptance of Any/All Unfavorable consequence, risk or outcome related to Any/All personal medical conditions and public health scenarios.
3. No CPT participant will hold Any/All other participants, and associated public, government, and private entities, LIABLE if he/she incurs any injury, accident, incident related to Any CPT event/activity.
4. No CPT participant will hold Any/All other participants responsible or accountable for their personal belongings, incl. items that may be lost/forgotten/stolen/misplaced.
5. NYC PARKS DEPT regulations must be observed during a CPT Event.
