Great episode of Grey’s Anatomy tonight. Seems to be an excellent depiction of someone with sickle cell disease. The janitor fell and ended up pulling down a utility rack on top of himself.Then looking at the sonogram , they see his hip is totally deteriorated and they ask what medicine is he on? He said folic acid , hydroxyurea and then the doctor asked,do you have sickle cell and he says yes. A intern says oh they have a cure for that now! The patient says and you have to have $3 million to pay for it. The head doctor says yeah they come up with a cure that no one can afford. Then a commercial came on.
