🚨🔔Share this with your favorite physical theater artist! Calling all puppeteers, mimes, clowns, physical comedians, dance theater practitioners, movement artists of all kinds! PhysFestNYC is seeking artists to fill our Jan 2027 festival and we want YOU!
All PhysFestNYC offerings center the body in performance, which can be defined in a MYRIAD of ways. All definitions welcome! Want to get started? Click on our SUBMISSION GUIDE to read about eligibility, curation criteria, tech specs, and a handy FAQ.
There are some new features to the application, including an opt-in checkbox for if you would like to be a member of our curation team in the future. (A reminder that the festival is curated by a rotating panel, so past applications will go through a different set of curators than in past years!)
We also have a new checkbox for PhysFest Introductions! When the curators read applications, they so often see chemistry between various artists who may not know each other. You can now click a box to be introduced to a colleague or two via email if we spot a connection!
We can’t wait to see what you come up with for this year’s festival. Let’s make year four a true reflection of the passion, innovation, and abundancethat defines our vast community!
