New Ulm Oktoberfest is officially partnering with the U.S. Steinholding Association to host the NEW Minnesota State Steinholding Championship Finals on October 3, 2026! 💪🇩🇪

The best steinholders in the state will battle it out right here in New Ulm during Oktoberfest weekend — and honestly, there’s no better place for it. 🍺🔥

🍻🏆 To round out our first week of State Tournaments announcements we're VERY excited to share that we will be launching a NEW State Championship in Minnesota for the 2026 Steinholding Season!

We're partnering with the awesome team at Oktoberfest - New Ulm as this year's tournament sponsor and the host of the State Championship Finals on October 3rd, 2026! New Ulm Oktoberfest has won a ton of awards for being one of the best festivals in the US, so we know that the state finalists are going to have an amazing time!

Registration to become an official qualifying venue for the tournament is now open! This is an EARLY state finals on 10/03, so if you know of any great venues who would like to host a qualifier, help us out and pass the State Tournament info along to them! And keep an eye on our Minnesota State Tournament page throughout the summer and fall to stay up to date with all of the qualifying competition locations:

Our Oktoberfest tradition continues: gathering unused drink tickets that become contributions that stay in our community.

This year, our chosen recipients were MAGNUS Veterans Foundation and we also contributed a portion to the New Ulm Food Shelf to help support local families as the thanksgiving holiday approaches.
