Well, mysteriously, the water level is up today, so we may decide in the morning to start on the other side of the Magnolia Bridge in the morning. Check with us before unloading your boats.

Saturday morning details:
Onsite registration and number pick-up can start between 7AM and 7:15AM and will end at 8AM. Please register online if
possible
8:05 - Course review, announcements
8:15 - Boats on the water--preference for pro/race boats due
to their earlier start
8:30 - Pro/Race start
Immediately after Pro/Race start - All others on the water
8:45 - Start for non-Pro/Race
11:15-11:30 (time depends on last finishers) Prizes

Note that parking will probably be limited, so plan to show up early, pull up, unload boats, then go park. Parking may be a block or two away. Save time and register online!!!!

2019 race categories and registration:
Each category will go around the island one time.
Kayak categories:
Single Kayaks-one for Male and one for Female
K1 Rec - any kayak 12'6" or shorter One lap, or 6.25 miles
K1 Med - between 12'7" and 15'6" One lap, 6.25 miles
K1 Long - between 15'6" and 17'6" One lap, 6.25 miles
K1 Race/Pro any boat longer than 17'6" AND narrower than 20.5" 2 Laps, 11.75miles
Canoe-
Canoe Male Rec One lap, 6.25 miles
Canoe Female Rec One lap, 6.25 miles
Male Canoe "pro" race, 2 laps, 11.75 miles
Female Canoe "pro" race, 2 laps, 11.75miles
Tandems:
Tandem Canoe Rec (1 category only-M,F, or mixed) 1 lap, 6.25 miles
Tandem Canoe "Pro"/Race (1 category only - M,F, or mixed) 2 laps, 11.75 miles
Tandem Kayak Rec (1 category only -M,F, or mixed) 1 lap, 6.25 miles

Final registration numbers will determine final number of prizes per category, but at least 1st and 2nd place will be presented for each of the above categories. Final registration numbers may allow us to modify categories (if no boats enter one category but a 3 person boat registers, for example)
