New Orleans Independent Comics and Zine Festival NOCAZ is annual comic and zine festival in New Orleans as well as club of folks building community a We would also like to see more of this D.I.Y. What a dream!

NOCAZ is an attempt to make a space for self published artists and thinkers to put their work out in the public sphere and be able to reach other people without the constraints and expense of the commercial publishing industry. Zines are a participatory format and we hope bringing multiple perspectives together under one roof can create dialogue and inspire more people to express themselves throug

It's time to let you all know that this year's NOCAZ will be the very last. It's been 5 great years and we are going to put it to bed at the end of the day on Sunday April 7th at 4pm. We hope to see you there to celebrate the wonderful half-decade we've had together. If you want some ideas about how to organize your own comic or zine fest, please join us for the "Let's have a fest! Festival Organizing 101" panel we will be having at the fest! NOCAZ was lit this year! Thank you to the exhibitors, volunteers, and attendees, Sons of Jazz Brass Band, Community Kitchen Collective, Zibby and Ruth, and everyone that helps the fest run every year for your hard work and enthusiasm. We got plenty of picks to post as soon as we sleep things off. Stay tuned for more programming through out 2018!!!!!
