The Crescent City Choral Festival 2025 is filling up quickly. If you want to participate, please don 't wait until our deadline of October 1 to apply. All signs point to our reaching capacity before that deadline. We have SSA and SATB tracks. We have been receiving applications since June.

This festival will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the commissioning of Bob Chilcott's A Little Jazz Mass by the New Orleans Children's Chorus for the Crescent City Choral Festival. This is Bob's best-selling piece worldwide, and he has been conducting it all over the world this year. Our festival will be the culminating performance of this anniversary celebration. Other great repertoire will also be performed.

The New Orleans Children's Chorus is thrilled to announce the 24th annual Crescent City Choral Festival in 2025! This world-class festival is in its 24th successful year. Enjoy the historic charm of New Orleans and our legendary hospitality. Stay in the luxurious Loews Hotel, in walking distance to all festival venues. Savor our world-famous cuisine. And best of all, have FUN and a fabulous MUSICAL EXPERIENCE. The celebrated English composer, Bob Chilcott will conduct " A Little Jazz Mass", one of his best-selling pieces worldwide, and will write a new piece, which will be premiered at our final concert. Artistic Director, Cheryl Dupont will share the conducting of both tracks.

Interest is already high and several choirs are already registered. All treble and high school age mixed choirs are invited to join us for a memorable experience.

Please join us on Monday, July 1 at 7:30 PM for a FREE concert t Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church. 130 Baronne Street. This concert will be the culminating event of the 23rd annual Crescent City Choral Festival, conducted by Festival Artistic Director Cheryl Dupont and Guest Artist and Composer-in Residence, Tom Shelton., from Westminster Choir College. Youth Choirs from around the United States will perform separately and then unite to perform with the Festival Choir. This event is sponsored by the New Orleans Children's Chorus organization.

This will be a wonderful concert and we would love to have a full house for these young artists.

The Crescent City Choral Festival will return to New Orleans June 24-28, 2022! Join the choirs whoa re already registered. Our venues and the downtown area were not damaged by Hurricane Ike and New Orleans has a high vaccination rate and a low positivity rate for covid 19. Come to NOLA to experience our legendary hospitality, amazing food, wonderful architecture and friendly people. Next summer is not a good time to tour

We are going ahead with plans for our Crescent City Choral Festival from June 25-29, 2021. Things are much better in New Orleans now, although none of us can predict accurately predict what will be going on next summer, at this point.

We understand that it is challenging to plan student travel during these difficult times. We certainly hope and expect that it will be safe for us to sing together by late June of 2021. But if NOCC has to cancel the festival due to Covid 19, we will refund all individual payments for singers, staff, and entourage. The $750 festival deposit which holds your choir’s place and is applied to the final payment, is non-refundable, but will be transferred to another year when it is safe for your choir to participate. So there is NO FINANCIAL RISK to your choir when you apply to the Crescent City Choral Festival. NOCC is willing to undertake the risk of financial loss on our end.

This year is obviously a very different one, and we are prepared to move some of the deposit dates and be as flexible as possible. We are all in a kind of limbo, but NOCC is trying to provide a safe way to move forward. We have attached the festival brochure and other documents for your perusal.

Our Guest Artist will be the internationally renowned English composer and conductor Bob Chilcott, who was already contracted for 2021. He has already written the commissioned piece for us. Bob is a favorite of the festival choirs, and I am sure your choirs would love working with him.
