We practice what we preach: take risks, fail, learn, and dare to risk again.
This year we did exactly that. We pushed ourselves to bring Failed Films to a new community of artists. We were scared. We doubted we could replicate the magic we’d cultivated over 10 years in California. For a year, we reached out to friends, chosen family, and the Failed Films community to help us make this happen. Our goal was to make a show that was uniquely New Orleans—to center the amazing community of artists who call this city home, to collaborate, and to make something that left people inspired.
The beautiful thing about daring to fail is that sometimes, when all the pieces come together, you wind up succeeding beyond your wildest expectations.
Last Saturday, Failed Films New Orleans became a night we will remember for the rest of our lives. It would not have been possible without the overwhelming support of the New Orleans community. We have so many people to thank.
