Chefs Taste Challenge The 4th annual Farm and Table Chefs Taste Challenge features New Orleans vs. the Gulf Coast in a battle of the region's best chefs. Morial Convention Center.

Taking place September 7, 2018 at the New Orleans Ernest N. The Chefs Taste Challenge (CTC) aims to broaden awareness for the use of fresh, healthy, sustainable ingredients in preparing food. Ten chefs from various geographical regions across the United States will compete to create the best dish that utilizes farm-fresh items from a pantry of seasonal ingredients donated by State Agricultural Dep

artments. Attendees will enjoy tasting portions of each chef’s creation and will vote on a “Fan Favorite.”

Chefs Taste Challenge 2018

NEW ORLEANS – Now in its 4th year, the Chefs Taste Challenge (CTC) will heat up this summer by enhancing this annual competition to a sizzling showdown of the region’s best chefs.

Chefs from the Gulf Coast are invited to apply today for a chance to battle it out during this unique event taking place September 7, 2018 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Join us for the Chefs Taste Challenge!

The 2018 event will feature a face-off between the best farm to table chefs in New Orleans versus the best farm to table chefs in the Gulf Coast region. The Gulf Coast teams may include the following states: AL, FL, LA, MS, and TX. All culinary teams will compete to create the best dish that utilizes farm-fresh items from a pantry of pre-selected ingredients. Items stocked in the pantry will be representative of ingredients that are in-season in various regions at the time of the competition.

How to Apply: Interested chef participants should refer to the CTC website at http://chefstastechallenge.com/competition/ for event rules and chef application process. Applications will only be accepted through online submission.
