Please come out this Thursday, September 26th, 7:30pm, at the UNO Performing Arts Center Recital Hall to see Ji Su Jung on Marimba and Timothy Chooi on Violin. They have put together a wonderful concert of beautiful music that shouldn't be missed. All performances at UNO are free and open to the public.

Please join us for a performance by Maxwell Quartet from Scotland and Awadagin Pratt on piano on Thursday, April 20th, at 7:30pm in the University of New Orleans, Performing Arts Center, Recital Hall. They will be performing the New Orleans premiere of Jamaican composer, Eleanor Alberga's "Clouds, for Piano Quintet." The Maxwell Quartet will also perform Haydn's "String Quartet Op. 77 no. 1 in G major, Hob.III:81," traditional worksongs arranged for string quartet, and "Dvorak's "String Quartet No. 13 in G Major, Op. 106." It should be an amazing show and we would love to see you there! It is $15.00 general admission, $10.00 seniors/alumni, and free for UNO Faculty, Staff, and all students attending any school.

Please join us this Thursday, September 29th, at 7:30pm in the UNO Performing Arts Center Recital Hall to see 2022 Grammy Winning Artist, Jennifer Koh, who received the award for Best Instrumental Solo for her new album "Alone Together." Jenny will be performing Bach Sonata No. 1 in g minor, Bach Sonata No. 3 in C Major, and selections from her Grammy Winning Album.

Violinist Jennifer Koh is recognized for her intense, commanding performances, delivered with dazzling virtuosity and technical assurance.

UNO is joining the large number of universities that are moving all coursework online for the immediate future. All events involving 50 or more people are also cancelled or postponed through April 12th, when we will re-evaluate the rest of the semester performances. Unfortunately, this means the performance with Philippe Quint on March 17th is cancelled. The performances by the Juilliard String Quartet, April 2, 2020 and the Lott String Quartet, April 5, 2020 have been postponed. This decision was made by the university Presidents in NOLA, the Mayor, and the NOLA Department of Health. Hopefully, we can slow the spread of the disease enough so this doesn't overwhelm our hospitals. We are all working together to mitigate the spread of the virus while still making sure students are receiving their education. We look forward to seeing you at future performances.
