Satchmo SummerFest celebrates the life, music, and legacy of Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong at the Louisiana State Museum's Old US Mint during the month of August. The two day festival features intellectual seminars from well-known jazz and music scholars along with two days of never ending music from a variety of genres ranging from traditional and contemporary jazz to brass bands and more.

We’re honored to be a recipient of the Greener Grounds Grant. With this funding, we will be able to continue and expand our mission to lessen the environmental impact of cultural celebrations in Louisiana. Over the past four years, we have been able to keep over 284,000 pounds of waste out of landfills through our Geauxing Green initiative, making our state’s ecosystem safer and healthier for all to enjoy.

Applications for French Quarter Festival are being accepted through September 1, 2025. Apply today at frenchquarterfest.org.

The Entertainment Committee, composed of French Quarter Festivals, Inc. (FQFI) board members, staff, and music industry professionals, reviews all applications and makes booking decisions. The Committee aims to create a diverse, high-quality musical experience for festival-goers. French Quarter Festival exclusively features musical acts local to New Orleans and South Louisiana.
