Pennsylvania Endless Mountains Fiber Festival The event includes: natural fibers, yarn, clothing, fiber arts & crafts, spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet & felting supplies, fiber producing animals.

This is the Official page for the Endless Mountains Fiber Festival. You will find everything from fleece to rovings, processed fibers to yarn, clothing as well as fiber arts and crafts. Vendors carry spinning, weaving, felting, knitting and crochet supplies. Demonstrations go on thru-out the weekend. Visit with the Angora Rabbits, Alpacas, Llamas, Sheep and Angora Goats at this family friendly event.

And last, but not least of our Vendor and Breed Display participants... Valais Blacknose Sheep - Turning Leaf Farm - Hi! My name is Christine Esslinger from Kingsley, PA. I recently took up sheep farming and currently own a small flock of Valais Blacknose. These sheep have been dubbed the cutest sheep in the world! My most recent purchase is a purebred ram that is from an imported embryo. I also have 2 domestic purebred and 1 F3 pregnant ewes. I have been learning felting, making roving and spinning over the past year. I hope to be able to sell my wool products from my homestead in the future! I absolutely love my sheep, and they have made a great addition to my farm of cows, highlands, horses, chickens, and corgis!

Shetland Sheep - Happy Valley Homestead - I've been raising Shetlands for about 13 years now. I started out with Angora rabbits and had someone offer to trade three Shetland sheep for three Angora rabbits, which is what started my Shetland passion! We have a small homestead with Shetland sheep, satin Angora rabbits, Angora goats and two token merino ewes. I do everything from shearing to processing and spinning to the basic knitting and weaving myself. I make soaps with the sheep and goat milk as well. Our Shetland ladies have done quite a few events, including school events for the kids, homestead education events and even nursing homes to visit those who live there!

Romeldale / CVM Sheep ~ Wilde Thistle Farm
Romeldale/CVM (California Variegated Mutant) sheep, which are a rare breed listed as Threatened on The Livestock Conservancy’s Conservation Priority List. Romeldale CVM are a dual-purpose, fine fiber breed that comes in a variety of colors, including white, rose gray, medium and dark grays, brown (moorit), and black. Romeldale/CVM sheep are a multi-purpose sheep breed used for both their fine wool and mild-tasting meat. Romeldale sheep are white and natural colors; their CVM derivatives come in a wide range of natural colors. Romeldale sheep are a composite sheep breed, developed in Ge**er, California in the early 1900s. To create this breed, A.T. Spencer crossed New Zealand Marsh Romney rams over Rambouillet ewes. J.K. Sexton and his family further established the Romeldale sheep breed, and it was within their flock that the first CVM (California Variegated Mutant) sheep were born. In subsequent years, Glen Eidman, a partner of the Sexton family, developed the CVM derivative of the Romeldale sheep. Romeldale/CVM sheep are long-lived, have docile and alert personalities, and are an intelligent sheep breed.

Northwood Flower Farm is a first-generation small farm in Granville Summit, PA We grow specialty cut flowers and raise heritage livestock. Our primary livestock at the moment is a small flock of Tunis Sheep that we raise for wool & meat. The Tunis breed is such a great, family-friendly breed with a lovely personality.

Are you on the fence about coming to the festival this weekend?

Jump off and come on over for newest event! Help Little Bo Peep find her sheep….🐑 🐑🐑🐑

We have hidden about 50 tiny sheep figures around the festival (there is a set for each day so don’t worry if you can’t come until Sunday 😉). If you find one then it is yours to keep!!

It would be fun if you can post a picture of you and your sheep or just your sheep after you find him or her. They are all numbered so you can post your “sheep in the wild” with its “ear tag” number for even more fun!

We are a small farm in Fairplay MD. The majority of our animals are for our kid, Tucker and Robbie to show in 4-H. The others are just for pets because we love animals. We have dairy steers, a donkey, meat and dairy goats, sheep, rabbits, pet pigs, and a variety of poultry
A medium-sized sheep, the Scottish Blackface is famous for its hardiness. It is a breed that is easy to recognize by its iconic black-and-white marked face. Both sexes of Scottish Blackface have horns. The ewes are good at raising lambs, showing excellent maternal instincts and ample milk production. They tend to be quite protective mothers.
The Scottish Blackface has wool that is coarse and long. This coat is well-suited to the harsh winds and difficult weather conditions of the Scottish highlands.
