It is with great sorrow and heartbreak that our family has lost a great one... John Purttee was many things to us, truck driver, ticket seller, "button pusher", veteran, smart ass 😏 and friend.
John was always eager to chat, lend insightful suggestions, drive his ass off and sit back and lend an ear when you needed someone to talk to. He was so smart and had such a humorous, dry sense of humor (that's what I myself adored about him~Melissa)
It weighs so heavy on our hearts, that's for sure. Thoughts and prayers with the entire Purttee family.
We sure are going to miss you...

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of a fellow showman,
"Sky Wheel Dick" or better known as "Papa Smurf" who lost his batter with cancer.
Those that knew him, know he's up in heaven lighting up the sky wheel for all the other showmen that have passed away before him.
Peace be with his family and friends.

With much sadness we mourn the loss of the matriarch of our family. Shirley Richardson passed away yesterday unexpectedly at her home. Shirley was the mother of four children including J&J owner John Richardson Sr. She had ten grandchildren and twenty-one great children. Shirley had traveled from Florida to Ohio a few weeks back ( while battling cancer) because she simply had spots that she had to keep working! She had worked fairs such as Canfield Fair in Ohio for more than 62 years. She was one of the hardest working woman any one of us will ever have the pleasure of knowing. We will all miss you grandma Shirley, we are all so blessed to have such wonderful memories of you and we thank you for all that you've taught us!

Our hearts are heavy for a longtime J&J employee and family member. Freda Anthony has lost her brother Tom Wingard to cancer. Tom worked for our J&J family for a number of years. Anyone that has had the privilege to know Freda, knows that family is everything to her. Please keep her, Bob (Crazy) and their family in your thoughts and prayers. I will be sure to send everyone's well wishes on to her.

Thought I'd share this gift that one of the Richardson's grandchildren received. How neat is this?? Glow in the dark lights, it really runs AND you "tear it down" and it folds up on the back of a tractor! It's in the process of being constructed, photos will soon be posted!
