We've been quite busy at The Union Room! Here's a peek at events this past week-

• Praise & Paint hosted by Danny Garcia
This was a powerful night of community and praise! Performances and prayer were moving and the creativity was flowing as guests painted with the inspiration of being Made New.

• New London Art Stroll hosted by New London Arts Council
9 different artists showcased their works and talents around The Union Room. There were 2 live performances as well as a live painter! Artists were diverse and were not only able to exhibit their work, but interact with the public and answer questions about their pieces

• Women of New London County's Halloween Party
WoNLC danced the night away and everyone enjoyed plates by Issa Catering. The costumes were so fun and creative!

• The New London Food Stroll
Creature Brewing company served up two different types of beers, including their Flagship & VSB at The Union Room! Members of the community walked about many different restaurants and venues to try different food & drink during the NL Food Stroll!

• Little Monsters Halloween Party hosted by The Union Room
Little monsters came to do crafts including a slime lab, mask making, pumpkin painting and boogied through bubbles and spooky tunes.

• Today: The Table, a Sunday worship by the Abba Restoration Center
Today is all about coming together to worship around the table instead of in rows. ARC is forging connection through conversation, song, and breaking bread.

We're putting the finishing touches on our Little Monsters Halloween Party today!

Join us tomorrow, Saturday October 10th from 11:30 to 2:30pm.

There will be 6 activity tables including a spooky slime lab, pumpkin painting, trick or treat bag decorating, a scavenger hunt, Halloween backdrops, temporary tattoos, and a dance party!

Tickets are $8 per child in advance or $10 at the door, and grown-ups attend free!

Come in costume or come as you are, but come ready to boogie! 👻 🖤🧡

Little Monsters Party is this Saturday, October 10, from 11:30 to 2:30 at The Union Room! 🎃

We’ll have pumpkin painting, Halloween masks, trick-or-treat bags, temporary tattoos, a scavenger hunt, crafts, music and a spooky photo spot. Come for an hour or stay the whole afternoon. Activities will be going on throughout the party.

One quick update: we haven’t received any costume donations for the swap, so it may not happen this time. If you were hoping to donate a clean, gently used costume, send me a message and let me know. The rest of the party is ready to go!

Tickets are $8 per child in advance or $10 at the door. Grown-ups are free.

The Union Room is looking to fill the calendar with weekly activities on Thursday nights, and instead of guessing, we want to hear from our community!

We’re leaning into more sober activities for Thursday nights, because there just aren’t enough safe spaces for people looking for alcohol free ways to go out, socialize, and have fun- and downtown already has some really awesome spots to grab a cocktail if that's your vibe.

We have a busy weekend ahead at The Union Room!

We’ve got a little bit of art, music, community, Halloween fun, faith, and fellowship happening this weekend, and we love seeing the space being used in so many different ways. 🙌

Friday 10/2- Praise & Paint

Danny Garcia presents an evening of creativity, connection and worship. Grab a canvas and enjoy live music and spoken word

Saturday 10/3- New London Art Stroll

Spend the day exploring art, artists, creativity and everything happening throughout New London. If you’re out strolling downtown, make The Union Room one of your stops between 11am and 4pm!

Saturday 10/3- Wicked Women Halloween Party

Women of New London County invites you to grab your girlfriends, dress up and come have some fun between 6 & 10pm

Sunday, 10/4- The Table

Abba Restoration Center begins The Table, happening every Sunday throughout October.
Come together for fellowship and formation.

What a weekend at The Union Room 🤍

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting this beautiful couple’s wedding on Saturday. Even amid quickly changing plans due to the storm, everything came together perfectly. They shared a heartfelt ceremony surrounded by family and friends, and from there the celebration was in full swing. A pizza truck pulled into the patio space and got to work firing up dinner, guests dressed up at the photo booth station, and DJ PIX turned up the vibes! The rest of the evening was spent eating and dancing, and the room was overflowing with love and laughter.

Congratulations to the newlyweds! We’re so grateful you trusted us to be part of such an important day. 🥂

Have Halloween costumes sitting in a closet that your kids have already outgrown? We’re collecting gently used Halloween costumes for our Little Monsters Party and Costume Swap on Saturday, October 10.

Bring us costumes that are clean and still in good wearable condition & we’ll put them out at the party so another little monster can find something new to them! Every costume donated helps us build a bigger, better selection for local families, so please share this post and help us fill the racks! 🧡

And if you’re joining us October 10, we’ll have the costume swap PLUS pumpkin painting, mask making, Halloween tattoos, a scavenger hunt, crafts, treats, spooky music, and more.

The Little Monsters Party and Costume Swap is best suited for children ages 3 to 10, but all ages are welcome!
