# 🚙 North Carolina Bronco Show at the 2nd Annual Uwharrie Bigfoot Festival! 🦶

We've had several questions about the Bronco Show, so here's everything you need to know in one place!

# # 📅 Bronco Show

**Saturday, September 5, 2026 CHECK IN TIME: 7:30AM-9:30AM**

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED (DEADLINE IS AUGUST 1) WE NEED TO KNOW A HEAD OF TIME SO WE KNOW HOW MUCH PARKING IS NEEDED ON THE SHOW LOT. REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW.

SHOW TIME: 10AM-6PM

AWARDS CEREMONY: 3PM

Located **inside the Uwharrie Bigfoot Festival** at **Camp John J. Barnhardt, New London, NC.**

# # # ✅ To participate in the Bronco Show:

• Register your Bronco **ONLINE BEFORE THE EVENT** and pay the **$30 Bronco Show registration fee.**
• **Festival admission is separate** and is required for everyone entering the festival grounds, including Bronco owners and passengers. Festival admission may be purchased online in advance or at the gate upon arrival.

**Friday: 7PM-9PM / Saturday: 7AM - 9AM**

The show begins at **10:00 AM**.

Please arrive early! We would like all Broncos parked in their assigned display spaces by approximately **9:30 AM** before festival attendees begin arriving. This helps us keep traffic flowing safely and creates a better experience for everyone.

# # 🌲 North Carolina Bronco Club Trail Rides

Planning to join one of the trail rides on **Saturday or Sunday? There's no charge to participate in the trail rides but to participate you are required to purchase a Festival ticket online or at the entrance. **

The NC Bronco Club will be coordinating and leading the official trail rides during the event. Club representatives will have a booth set up at the show where participants can register and receive trail ride information.

Camping reservations are now open!

First, we want to explain what the camp sites are like here at Camp Barnhardt.

🏕️ Camping at Camp Barnhardt – What to Expect

Camp Barnhardt is an authentic Boy Scout camp, and the camping experience reflects that tradition. This is primitive, group-style camping, designed for Scout troops and large groups rather than individual, private campsites.

🏕️ Campsite Setup

Campsites are group campsites, not individual private sites

Each group site includes 10–20+ tent platforms, depending on the site

Tents are already set up on raised platforms at each site

You are reserving space within a shared group campsite

🌲 Shared Amenities at Each Group Site

Every group campsite includes:

A large covered pavilion with picnic tables for that campsite’s group

One shared electric outlet per group site

One shared water spigot per group site

These amenities are shared by everyone camping in that specific group area

🚿 Bathrooms & Showers

A main shower house with separate men’s and women’s facilities

Each side has 8 private shower stalls and toilets

Additional restrooms and a couple of showers are also located near the pool area

⚠️ Important to Know

This is primitive camping

Campsites are not private

You will be camping alongside others in your group site

This setup is intentional and part of the traditional Scout camp experience

If you’re looking for a rustic, communal, outdoorsy weekend surrounded by nature, Camp Barnhardt is a perfect fit. If you prefer private, RV-style, or secluded camping, nearby campgrounds, cabins, hotels, and Airbnbs are also available in the area.
