A rock-and-roll restaurant from KISS legends Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley is opening in Downtown Royal Oak this month.

Rock & Brews is taking over the former HopCat building on Fifth Avenue with a new three-story venue that will include a main floor dining area, a second-level concert and live music space, and a rooftop lounge featuring a DJ.

The space will also include more than 30 televisions and a 16-foot LED screen for sports and entertainment, along with scratch-made American comfort food, signature drinks, and Michigan craft beer on tap.

“We’re excited to bring a Rock & Brews Restaurant and Concert Bar to Detroit Rock City,” Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons said in a joint statement. “We’ve all worked hard collaborating as a team to create Rock & Brews destinations we could be proud to share with the community.”

Local co-owner Tony Yezbick added, “Our team is incredibly excited to bring Rock & Brews to Downtown Royal Oak. We are focused on delivering a proven concept that blends high-quality food, standout drinks, and an atmosphere rooted in great music.”

Grand opening Thursday, March 19th.
