There's nothing that screams spooky season more than a skull and bone ID weekend🦴 And there's nothing more horrifying than missing out on a place in our last bone ID course of the year 😱

Across this 2-day weekend course, you will learn from an expert about:
- Key structure, function, and features of native, introduced, and domestic mammals in the UK
- Identifying bone fragments and ‘laying out’ a skeleton
- Differentiating mammal bones from bird, amphibian, reptile and fish bones
- Distinguishing between insectivores, herbivores, carnivores and omnivores
- Ageing a mammal from its bones
- Identifying bone pathologies in mammals, including abnormalities, deformities and healed fractures
- Owl pellet analysis

There will be opportunities to examine, handle, draw or photograph specimens from a very extensive collection

Book a place by finding our Linktree in our 'About' section, then find the course in our 'Upcoming events' page. Or visit this link:
