Very high tech depiction here to help illustrate proper placement of a neck tie on your cows at the show!

Maybe one of the top “rookie mistakes” I see and one that can save or cause you some big big headaches….

👉🏻The neck tie should add some security to your project but 𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒐 help keep them in the center of their space. Tie the halter off to the left and the neck tie off to the right.

𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒐𝒏 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 is tieing both the halter and the neck tie to the same place.

👉🏻 Make sure the neck tie is tight enough so they can’t get a foot through it, but loose enough they can still breathe 😃

👉🏻 Give them enough slack to lay down, stand up, eat, etc but not enough so they can move too far back or over to get out of place or off the bed pack.

🚨 CAMPER ARRIVAL INFORMATION – PLEASE READ 🚨

As we get ready for the 78th Addison County Fair & Field Days, here is the camper arrival schedule:

🐄 Dairy Area Camping (Includes Open Beef & 4-H Beef Exhibitors)
📅 Saturday, August 1st & Sunday August 2nd: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📅 Monday August 3rd: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

✅ Before leaving your camper, you MUST check in at the Fair Office to receive:

Your camping/pumping pass
Your parking pass

Our Board of Directors will be parking campers. Please make sure:
✔️ Your camper is clearly labeled with your name, or
✔️ You have made direct arrangements with a Board member before arrival.

🐴 Horse Camping Area
(Includes the Tractor Pad, Sheep & Goat Area)

⛔ ABSOLUTELY NO ARRIVALS BEFORE
Sunday, August 2 at 3:00 PM

All campers must enter through the Farm Gate and proceed to the Horse Gate Show Management Tent to check in.

At check-in you will receive:

Your assigned camping space
Camping passes
Pumping pass

Cattle Check-In:
The health check-in will be located inside the Field Days Rd gate between the Open Show and 4H Barns. ALL
CATTLE (dairy, beef, working steers, Childrens’ Barnyard exhibits, etc.) MUST enter through the Field Days
Rd gate and be checked in prior to entering the barns. No cattle may unload at the end of the barns adjacent to
the Show Ring.
All cattle must be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) which is required to list the full
USDA approved 840 (visual or RFID) or NUES tag number and current rabies/shipping fever vaccination
information. Health certificates must be available for review upon arrival and throughout the show.

Check-in times:
Sunday 5PM-7PM
Monday 7AM-3PM
