Cindy brings incredible energy, creativity, and heart to everything she does. Her passion for youth, agriculture, and community truly makes a difference across Addison County.
We're so grateful for her leadership and positive impact she continues to have on 4-H and our fair community!! ππ
In honor of National Volunteer Week, we are excited to kick off 7 days of celebrating amazing Vermont 4-H volunteers, each recognized as a recipient of our new statewide awards.
4-H Spark Igniter Award
This yearβs recipient is Cindy Kayhart from Addison County. Cindy has been a 4-H volunteer for 27 years, and throughout that time sheβs created hands-on, engaging experiences that 4-Hers remember long after they end.
For more than 20 years, sheβs served as the head chaperone for the National 4-H Dairy Conference. But what really stands out is how she goes above and beyond adding in experiences like trips to the World Dairy Expo, tours of the Wisconsin State Capitol, and preconference farm visits. Sheβs not just taking youth to an event sheβs creating a full experience that opens their eyes to new opportunities. And because of that, our 4-H'ers come back more confident, inspired, and often with a clearer idea of what they want for their future.
Cindy really embodies what it means to be a Spark Igniter, she sparks curiosity, growth, and excitement in every young person she works with.
Congratulations, Cindy! Thank you so much for all that you do for 4-H and for supporting youth in Vermont. UVM Extension UVM CALS Addison County 4-H
