Punq Noire is dedicated to building liberatory spaces for punks, nerds, and anyone who stands out to discover the local music scene. Help us keep these events safe, accessible, and fun!

- $10 covers the cost of someone's entry to our live music shows, which feature local and touring bands.
- $25 buys food and beverages for our audiences at open mic nights and creative workshops.
- $55 allows us to secure accessible venues, keeping our events open to differently-abled people, those who use public transportation, and more.
- $100 helps us pay collaborating artists and live bands for their time.
- $250 allows us to hire documentarians (photographers and videographers) to capture the movement of local punk music, fashion, and thought.

Punq Noire is also expanding its programming. Your donation allows us to start educational programming around punk/art history thru:
- zines & cultural archiving projects
- workshops, screenings, podcasting, and more

We have grown from a one-day local music fest into a community-driven initiative to amplify punk artists from historically marginalized communities. Punk is a movement built by artists who speak truth to power thru radical sounds, visuals, and groundbreaking storytelling. Our goal is to expand the agenda of anti-racism and intersectional feminism in creative industries starting with the CT arts community… Why? Because CT artists are actively building a renaissance! So we center the voices of those whose work is thought provoking, risky, and raw — aka, PUNK! — and those whose rebellion against systemic oppression is a live experience.

With our fundraiser only a few weeks ahead, we want to take this opportunity to re-introduce Punq Noire — originally debuting as a local q***r+bipoc punk fest, we have since grown into: 🤎💜💚

1) an underground music events series’ featuring local & touring artists from the punk diaspora, featuring historically marginalized artists who use their creativity to speak truth to power in radical, provocative ways. 🎸

2) we host liberatory spaces for punks to see themselves represented in art and media, fostering safe(r) environments for us reflect and respond thru dance, debate, laughter, and love. 🧩

3) we aim to add more learning experience to our annual programming — by documenting the scene, platforming the voices of qt+bipoc punks, and curating exhibitions, Punq Noire’s ultimate goal is to begin a cultural archiving initiative that preserves our community’s histories and protects futures as artists facing systemic hardship. ❤️‍🔥

Punq Noire Open Mic Night returns for ! Join us for an evening of music, comedy, poetry and more from our homegrown community + live performance by featured artist, Love’s Echo! 💕

Punq Noire has grown from a one-day music festival, film club, and monthly open mic series to a CT-based multi-media artist network centering culture bearers who fight oppression through art and daily life. Our mission is to expand the agenda of intersectional feminism and racial justice in creative industries by celebrating punk as a movement built by BIPOC & LGBTQ+ communities. 🎸

We are hosting this fundraiser in conjuction with The Great Give, an annual 36-hour, community-wide fundraising event that matches charitable organizations serving Greater New Haven with donors in a fun and engaging way. 🎊

That means this is the perfect time to support Punq Noire’s growing initiative. Through a matching program, donations made between May 6th and May 7th can double your contribution and help make us eligible for funding bonuses. 📈
