It's been nearly 36 hours since the last lap was finished. Our bodies have returned to the real world, but our hearts and minds are still in the woods and field with you all.
LMS has become a holiday unto itself. Days without sleep or showers with some of our best friends, new challengers and crews, stories by the fire, the happiest of tears when PRs are set. Each year provides us with one last summer camp outing to close out the season, and we find ourselves wrapped up by a love and positivity that are unique to this place and this weekend. Even if you are not running, we hope you've marked LMS27 on your calendar so you can celebrate the holiday with us.
Runners, crew, friends, family; you are what stokes the fire inside LMS. Your energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork sustain this thing that would otherwise be just another race. Instead, you have manifested something unique to us here in our little corner of Maine. We promise to mark the course and string up the lights each and every year as long as you promise to keep bringing your love.
