Our Story

CHRISTKINDLMARKT visitors will enjoy a German inspired open air Christmas market complete with food, drinks, craft beer, Gluehwein, German music, singing, and dancing as vendors selling Christmas ornaments and décor, and handcrafted artisan gifts.

The goal of the Christkindlmarkt is to commemorate and promote the German heritage of our city, which has been an important role in the cultural life of New Braunfels since it was founded by Germans in 1845. With this event, we also hope to promote local businesses and tourism, while bringing the community together for two fun-filled days of food, drink, entertainment and shopping the way our German Ancestors continue to do it today.
