I personally want to thank each and every one of you for your reservations over these past eighteen years of business. Each of your stays brought memories of wonderful people. Please know I am always open for visits to the private Richter's Pharmacy Museum. And remember that there is always a beer or a glass of wine waiting for you. March 3 and 4 Loretta Lynn's contingent stayed at Das Anwesen. I had promised the guests their stay would not be interrupted by anyone looking to publicize or snoop. Saturday morning Miss Loretta's daughter Patsy and her daugther Sissy plus members of the band came for a huge,homemade,Texas breakfast. They took a complete tour of the buildings and then came to the main house. They ate like "coal miners".These folks were so down home and polite it was indeed a pleasure to host them. Anna Lee, my B&B manager and her boyfriend were invited to the concert as VIP guests, sitting with Miss Loretta's group with special badges. Miss Patsy introduced the business and me to the crow and waived. They all told me they were coming back. These wonderful folks may be stars in their own right; however, they are caring, polite and generous folk . We feel like we have new best friends.

The Kraft Log Cabin (c.1850)

This log house was built in 1850 some miles from it's present site. It was moved log by log to the ranch in 1982. Typical of the early German immigrants, the original one room home housed six people. A later addition to the back and the side were added a bit later. The furnishings include handmade German pioneer furniture from August Carl Wilhelm Hartmann and Johann Jahn, all included in the new Texas Handmade Furniture by Taylor and Warren.

This cabin sleeps four with one private bedroom and a loft.
