Ruhe in Frieden (Rest in Peace), Sherman.

The Wurstfest family is mourning the loss of longtime Opa and 2024 President Sherman Krause who passed unexpectedly last Saturday.

In service to the Wurstfest Association for 23 years, Sherman’s wit, wisdom, leadership, and love for his community will continue to influence us for years to come.

A service honoring Sherman will be held at Oakwood Baptist Church on February 16 at 3 p.m. After the service, a celebration of life honoring him will be held from 5-7 p.m. in the Wursthalle on the Wurstfest grounds.

Please join us to celebrate Sherman’s devotion and service to our community.

• Opening Friday: 4 - 11 p.m. (Opening Ceremony @ 5:30 p.m. in Wursthalle)

• Sundays: 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. (Last Sunday is FREE after 3 p.m.)

Wurstfest Accordion Jam with Alex Meixner- Sunday November 16

For many years, the late famed accordionist Myron Floren hosted an accordion jam on stage for his birthday celebration. This year New Braunfels’ own Grammy nominated accordionist, Alex Meixner will host the event at the Masskrugstemmen River Stage at 1:15 pm on Sunday November 16. (Right before the State Championships for Masskgrustemmen) The jam is open to any accordionists that want to participate with the following repertoire:
