Good evening Folks! This is Samuel Riggs, Craven County Jaycee Chapter President of 2020-2021. This evening after 4 years of wonderful volunteering I am choosing to step down as Chapter President after A change in Direction the State Level Jaycees have chosen to go. I am joined by the Chairwoman of the board and several other of our members who have requested to leave the organization after the disagreement in direction.

Thank you all for the fantastic memories and for attending the events we brought to help the community and allowing us to stay active in the local community. It has been our pleasure. Happy Holidays

Parade Update: As of this morning we have 38 entries, but we have room for more! It's not to late to sign up at http://www.cravencountyjaycees.org/parade-entry-form.html but please act fast. There is limited space in the staging area.

Don't forget that the theme is "Sounds of the Season" and there will be a float judging competition. It's looking like a BIG parade - don't be a Grinch, join us for the Downtown New Bern/Jaycee's parade.

The North Pole Fire Department has dispatched a sleigh to one of our partners! Please help 'Fill Santa's Sleigh" if you can - and don't forget that the Jaycee's are accepting donations too! All goods collected are donated to needy families in Craven County for the Holiday Season.

It's that time of the year again everyone!!! Sparky has a list and it's a big one this year. We need toys and gifts for the kids in western Craven County. We accept new ,unwrapped, toys, gifts, and money through donations by several means. You can drop off your donation items at the Jasper, Cove City, and Dover Dollar General locations, or contact a member of one of the participating fire stations, Dover station 33, Cove City station 32, No.9 Township station 35, or West New Bern station 31. Your contributions will stay local and support local families that could use a little extra help during this time of the year. Thank you for any help you can provide, and for your continued support.

We have finished processing the electronic registrations for the parade, but the paper processing on the ones that were mailed in take a little bit longer. WOW - there are a lot of people in the parade this year! We will be publishing a list as soon as it's ready - but bands, churches, clubs, fire trucks, and local businesses are already on board! It's going to be awesome!

Two hours until the doors open for BINGO! Night at the Jaycee’s fairgrounds. This is our Thanksgiving/Christmas event since we don’t have a game in December (we’re busy running the parade in December, sorry folks) so we’ve got a mix of items up for grabs, plus our famous bingo tree full of surprises. But wait! There’s more!! We also play games for cash! At least $100 and as much as $350 in cash will given away tonight. We’ve got food from Frank's Franks - Hot Dog Cart & Catering, crafts, family fun, and you just never know what we’re up to next… see you at the fairgrounds!

This is a P.S.A from the Jaycees! The address for the Monster Martins House Of Terror has changed for this year. It is not being hosted at the fairgrounds this year, it is instead being run out of 905 Coral Court in Fairfeilf Harbor.
