This past Saturday marked the 10th anniversary of Sierra Poetry Festival!
Held at The Center for the Arts in the Grass Valley-Nevada City Cultural District, the culminating event of National Poetry Month was replete with a stellar lineup of poets, presenters, workshops and deep conversation.
We were honored to have Bob Hass and Brenda Hillman join us for their keynote - inspired by dear friend, philosopher, and poet Gary Snyder on this year's theme "Blue Mountains Walking".
Each year we find ourselves illuminated and refreshed by the poets, perspectives and community that gathers around the mainstage of Sierra Poetry Festival, and this one proved no exception. All thanks to you, the many poets, presenters, audience members and volunteers who came together to make this day long celebration of poetry a truly unique and treasured experience. Here are just a few photos from the day, highlighting the many voices that graced the stage on Saturday.
