We had a great time volunteering and capturing the amazing athletes at the Skybreaker Racing BABU this morning.

This is an amazing event, and the backyard format is awesome. Part pacing and nutrition, part strategy... the last person standing wins.

We still need volunteers for BABU this weekend! If you're not available yourself, helping spread the word is also appreciated. 🙏

A few notes:

1. Our biggest need is help with the night shift at this point (shift 3 in particular) for both the Aid Station and Q St.

2. Shifts are 6 hrs. If you can't do a full 6 hr shift, that's fine. Just specify what you can do on USU during signup.

3. We'll most likely have the Q St and Aid Station volunteers swap places periodically so that whoever's at Q St doesn't get too bored.

Did you know that we now offer 4 unique Hybrid events?

Sometimes also referred to as Self-Guided, these are essentially D.I.Y. events. Go out and complete the course on your own, with friends if you like, and/or with aid provided by friends.

Afterward, email in your activity link for proof of completion, and you'll receive a finisher award and rank in the results.

For each of these, you will have an entire month (or longer) to get it done in. In other words, you choose when you'll run the course—it just has to be run continuously (all in one go) and within the specified time period.

Oh, and these are cheap! They range from just $25-35 (+ ultrasignup fee)!

April: Yubaneer 50M (Nevada City, CA)

May: Sea to Sky 25K, 50K, 75K, 100K (Jenner, CA)

July-August: Shasta Gives You Wings 35M (Mt. Shasta, CA)

October: Yuba Gold 50K (original point-to-point course) (Nevada City, CA)
