2024 Marshall Registration | SIGN UP HERE
It is that time again to register if you would like to work the 2024 Needham Memorial Day Tournament as a Marshall. Marshalls are the face of the tournament...and I truly believe teams come back year after year due to how well the tournament runs and that would not be accomplished without your hard work and support.
Please Register now to work the weekend beginning Friday Morning Setup, Friday Night Games, Saturday Games, Sunday Games, Monday Games, and then final breakdown and pack up.
Compensation:
Marshals will receive compensation of $15.00 per hour. While this tournament is called the "Needham" tournament, we have fields all over Metro West. Each shift is scheduled as a half-day or full-day period (the length may vary because there are different field schedules on different days):
• Half day = 6:30 AM - 12 PM (start times may vary depending travel times to fields)
• Full day = 6:30 AM – 8 PM (start times may vary depending travel times to fields)
*We are flexible dealing with personal schedules or conflicts throughout the weekend if communicated in advance!
**For those who put in extended hours or offer a major commitment we will also add a bonus reflective of the actual hours worked over the weekend.
***Possible promotion to Senior Staff in future years with an increase pay.
Responsibilities during the Tournament Weekend include:
• Preparation/Setup
o Thursday May 23rd – Load truck from storage
o Friday May 24th - Preparation - Set-up of Fields/Unloading of Truck / Organizing equipment
o Monday May 27th – Breakdown Fields-Cleanup/Organize equip./Load Truck/Unload Truck at Storage
• Parking lot details (Fri – Mon.) at:
o DeFazio
o Medfield
o Noble & Greenough School, Dedham
o Elm Bank Wellesley
• Marshaling Games at Fields (Fri – Mon.):
o Reporting scores while marshaling a field
o Ensuring games start on time while marshaling a field
o Providing equipment at tournament fields (soccer balls, corner flags, etc.) while marshaling a field
o Monitoring games
o Communicating and enforcing tournament policies while marshaling a field
Other Responsibilities
• If interested Pre-Tournament work (paid) at home processing Team Check-in Documents
Minimum requirements:
• Must be 16 or older
• Must have access to a car/or transportation available
• Must have a fully charged cell phone to report scores
• Must be available to work at least 2 shifts
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
We are using a NEW GotSport registration platform this year everyone must create a new login unless you already have a login as a player in the club.

Also, we started paying all our Marshalls via Paychex direct deposit in 2022. This means you will get your paycheck faster and directly deposited into your bank account.
In order for us to do this, you must have a bank account or you can use your parent's account.
You only need to submit this once as Marshall or have received payment from the Needham Soccer Club after the spring of 2022 (unless your payment details/bank account has changed)
How to submit a W9 form and a Direct Deposit Enrollment Form:
Option 1 - NMDT Marshalls are required to register each tournament year. During that registration process, you will have the option to upload your completed forms.
Option 2 - you are able to complete the registration without uploading the forms initially.
However, you will need to go back into the Registration at a later date but BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT WEEKEND to complete the uploads in order to start getting paid through Paychex Direct Deposit.
Once you have completed the forms you will be able to upload them to your NMDT Registration.
PLEASE...do not wait until the last minute to fill in your forms or it will delay your getting paid.
