We’re trying something a little different this year with our special edition Live at Five Fourth of July tanks and tees... and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

Instead of a stock design, we partnered with one of Natchez’s own, artist Margaret (Margie) Tillman Ayres, to create something truly special. Margie grew up in Natchez before becoming an acclaimed muralist, illustrator, designer, and professor whose work has been featured across New Orleans and commissioned by national brands including Trader Joe’s and Pyrex. Her colorful, storytelling style is inspired by community, connection, and life along the Mississippi River.

That hometown connection is what makes this design different. It isn’t just another Fourth of July shirt. It’s a piece of local art created by someone who understands the spirit of Natchez, the river, and the traditions that bring us together every summer.

Pre-orders are open now, and we strongly encourage ordering ahead so you'll have your shirt in time for the festivities on July 3 and July 4. We will have a limited number available for purchase at the event on July 3, but once they're gone, they're gone.

The online shop is open until June 18. The site says it will be ready July 14 - but Lazarus Arts T-Shirt and Cap Company assured me they will be ready by June 30. If you would like it shipped, add your address where it asks for your name and phone and we will contact for shipping.

Well… somehow we made it through another Spring season of Live at Five without anyone falling into the Mississippi River, the bluff collapsing under dance moves, or Mother Nature completely ruining our plans. We’re calling that a win. 😂🎶

Seriously though, THANK YOU.

To every single person who brought a lawn chair, danced in the grass, grabbed dinner downtown, supported our local businesses, wrangled children, sang along, volunteered, sponsored, or just showed up week after week to enjoy live music on the bluff… y’all are the reason Live at Five continues to grow and thrive. Community support is absolutely vital to this event, and Natchez continues to show up in the best way possible.

And let’s talk about Friday night for a second… Phoush: A New Orleans Phish Tribute absolutely BROUGHT the vibes. Somewhere between the jams, the dancing, and whatever weather negotiations happened behind the scenes, they even managed to keep the rain away long enough for us to close out the season right. We’d say that deserves a standing ovation and maybe a weather contract for future events. 🌈😂

This Spring season was one for the books, and we are incredibly grateful for every musician, sponsor, volunteer, downtown business, city partner, and attendee who helped make it happen.

What started years ago as a simple idea to bring people together has turned into one of the most special parts of spring in Natchez. Week after week, y’all showed up with lawn chairs, kids, friends, coolers, dancing shoes, and so much love for live music and community. That’s what makes Live at Five what it is.

So let’s send off the Spring series right. Come out, grab dinner downtown, support our local businesses, bring your people, and help us pack the bluff one more time before we roll into summer.
