Ole Man River President-Elect Learning Seminar is the multi-district PELS for Rotary Districts 6190, 6200, 6800, 6820, and 6840. Ole Man River PELS (OMR PELS) is held annually to train incoming club presidents prior to their taking office on July 1. OMR PELS provides training, facilitated sessions, and inspiration for presidents-elect, president-nominees, and assistant governors. There are planned
activities for spouses/partners to highlight the sights, history, and culture of Natchez, MS, and spouses/partners may also choose to join us for meals and social events. OMR PELS was initially formed by districts 6800 and 6820 as a multi-district PELS in 2007 and was held in Vicksburg, MS. District 6840 joined in 2008. OMR PELS moved to the Hilton North Jackson, MS in 2012. OMR PELS joined the Multidistrict PELS Alliance and incorporated facilitated sessions to encourage collaboration, and District 6190 joined in 2013. OMR PELS 2014 was held in downtown Jackson in the Convention Center and nearby Hilton Garden Inn, and District 6200 joined in 2015. OMR PELS relocated to its current home in Natchez, MS, at the side-by-side Convention Center and Natchez Grand Hotel in 2016. We represent Rotarians in Louisiana, Mississippi, and a portion of Tennessee surrounding Memphis, and we are continually adapting to bring the best participant experience and preparation for our future club presidents.
