Hi Folks,
We hope this finds everyone healthy. What a year 2020 has been! Fingers crossed, Farmers Daughter Gravel Grinder will happen on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Registration opens January 1st at 12:01am. Last year’s Farmer’s Daughter Gravel Grinder (FDGG) sold out in 7 days. 2021 will have a 600 rider cap.
As we did for the 2020 FDGG, if circumstances don’t allow the 2021 event to occur as scheduled, a variety of scenarios will be explored, and if unable to be held, participants will be refunded. https://www.bikereg.com/farmersdaughter0
Jon and I started FDGG in 2016 hoping to get 100 riders. In our wildest dreams, we never thought our event would grow to more than 500 participants and be selling out in just 7 days.

Hi everyone,

I hope this email finds everyone well. Thank you for being patient in these crazy times.

Some good news:

The Bale Kicker will take place on Saturday, August 29th.

I hope the new date works for you.

If you are unable to attend, here are your options:

1. Transfer your entry to another participant through BikeReg

2. Request a refund (refunds will not include the BikeReg fee). Please request your refund by Saturday, August 1st. No refunds will be given after 8/1/20. Crossing my fingers the Bale Kicker will happen on the new date. If not, all participants will be refunded.

3. Donate your entry fee to Capital Bicycle Racing Club (CBRC). CBRC is a non-profit organization that promotes cycling through various events. Most importantly, CBRC has donated more than $50,000 to various community organizations that serve and support our events in the last 5 years. Please help us continue to do so.

Take care of yourselves and please, practice social distancing and other CDC mandates.

Hi everyone,

I regret to inform you that Covid 19 is forcing me to kick the Bale Kicker to late summer. I am as disappointed as you are, but the health of riders, volunteers and brewery staff as well as preventing the spread of the virus is of utmost importance.

I'm looking at August 29th or 30th. I'm still working out a few details and hope to nail down a date in the next week.

Join us on April 11, 2020 for a 25 or 40 mile route on some of the best gravel in Rensselaer and Columbia County, NY.

Riding the Farmer's Daughter in May? The Bale Kicker is the perfect event to kick off the gravel season and prepare.

Named after S& S Farm Brewery's porter, the Bale Kicker delivers rich terrain with warm views and is sure to please. All riders receive a hearty meal at the finish.

Event is capped at 250 participants! Entry includes a feast prepared by The Kinderhook Tri-Village Rotary Club (vegan option available), a personalized name plate for your bike and a really cool cap with the Bale Kicker logo.
