The Snowflake 5k “Tacky Sweater Run” is one of Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee’s primary fundraising events, which helps support programs and services that assist in preventing child abuse and neglect. Race proceeds directly benefit Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The Snowflakes will begin to fall Saturday, December 14th, 2013 in Shelby Bottom Park. Help us celebrate
our 8th annual Snowflake 5k by getting tacky. We want you to challenge yourself to be the tackiest runner in Nashville! That’s ok! Kids, strollers, dogs on leash are all welcome! On the day of the race, there will be an onsite donation center. Since Christmas will be arriving shortly after the Snowflake 5k, a diaper donation will be set up around the registration tables. PCAT is asking every runner bring a pack of diapers to packet pickup or on race day. Sizes needed range from 1-6. Registration is available now and on the day of the race. Packet pick up is at Nashville Running Company on December 12th from 4-7 pm. Race t-shirts are included. Event will take place rain, shine or even snow! Awards will be given to Top Male and Female Runner, Top runner in each age category, Tackiest Christmas Sweater and Friskiest, Fastest, and Most Festive Dog. This year, we have special guests joining us from the Achilles Running group! Achilles International Nashville welcomes all people with disabilities to the wonderful world of Running!
