In ministry, it’s easy to spend so much time preparing for others that we neglect our own relationship with Jesus.
We write the songs.
Build the systems.
Create the content.
Lead the teams.
But what good is it if we’re helping everyone else encounter God while neglecting His presence ourselves?
The goal isn’t healthy ministry.
The goal isn’t a successful ministry career.
The goal is Jesus.
Healthy ministry is often the fruit of leaders who have learned to spend time with Him.
One of the reasons we gather at SALT each year is to step out of our normal ministry rhythms and be reminded of what matters most. To slow down, spend time with God, and connect with others pursuing the same calling.
If you’re feeling the weight of ministry, maybe what you need isn’t another strategy.
Maybe you just need to spend time with Jesus.
