Behind every delicious fair food is a story. This year, we are highlighting the story of the last Fiddlestick!

Richard George’s family has been in the fair and carnival business since 1901, and the Fiddlestick dynasty is on its fifth generation!

So what excactly is a Fiddlestick? It’s a classic fair treat: ice cream on a stick rolled in chocolate and covered in nuts. YUM! However, manufacturers will stop making ice cream in square boxes this year so this is the LAST FAIR for Fiddlesticks!!

The Nashville Fair wants to show appreciation to all the brave men and women who protect our community and keep us safe!

On Sept. 11, admission to the fair is free for all first responders with proper ID. In addition to free entry, everyone in your group (up to 6 people) will receive $5 off of their admission ticket.

Check those backpacks for some behind the scenes magic! 🎟️✨ The Fairgrounds Facilities team went above & beyond working 15 hours hand-stuffing 83,000 free fair tickets into envelopes for kids across Davidson County! 🙌

Thanks to sponsor Nashville Soccer Club, every MNPS student will receive a ticket to The Nashville Fair. That’s right—every child gets in FREE to experience the fun, the food, and the fair magic! 🎡💫 Tickets went home last Friday and can be redeemed Monday, Sept. 14–Thursday, Sept. 17.
