Hitmakers From Around the World brings together two internationally acclaimed songwriters whose work has crossed borders, genres, and generations.

Cindy Alter is one of South Africa’s most successful and respected songwriters. As the lead singer and principal songwriter of Clout, she achieved global success with the number one hit Substitute, which topped charts in multiple countries and helped sell more than 14 million albums worldwide. During Clout’s international peak, Alter toured extensively with major acts including Dire Straits, Supertramp, and The Police. Her career spans decades of hit records, international touring, and enduring pop and rock songwriting.

Angus Gill is a Golden Guitar winner, ARIA Award nominee, and one of Australia’s most accomplished young songwriters. An artist, hit songwriter, producer, comedian and author, he has earned 20 number one singles, six chart-topping albums, and more than 200 recorded cuts before turning 30. Now based in Nashville, Gill became the youngest Australian male solo artist to perform on the Grand Ole Opry and continues to build his global career spanning country, folk, rock and Americana.
