The Standard at The Smith House is an award-winning Steakhouse and Private Club located in the heart of downtown Nashville. It resides in the beautifully renovated historic Smith House Mansion. The Smith House is the only grand townhouse remaining in downtown Nashville. It is a magnificent example of ante-bellum Italianate architecture. With six bedrooms and bathrooms on three floors, two parlors,

a large kitchen, outdoor courtyard, a formal dining room, a breakfast room, a game room featuring Nashville’s first bowling alley, two trap doors, and a grand ballroom for 200 guests… the home is deceptively large. The Standard Club resides on the 2nd and 3rd floors and is ranked as one of the top 5 cigar clubs in the country by The Robb Report (2012). The private club is grand, but not pretentious, and draws members in leadership positions from every sector of society, both in Nashville and across the U.S. The Standard Restaurant is located on the first floor and is open to the public. The intimate restaurant is consistently ranked as one of the top overall restaurants in Nashville and was awarded one of the “100 Most Romantic Restaurants in the Country” and one of the "Top 10 Diners' Choice" in Nashville by Open Table (2015). The Standard Restaurant was ranked the top upscale steakhouse in Nashville by the Nashville Business Journal (2022).
