The third floor offers the grand Heavenlies – two suites that feel like an ascent into the clouds. “The Heavenlies,” also the name of rock formations at Wohelo, draws inspiration from high, airy ideals. This large suite is swathed in Willow Leaf by Schumacher, evoking 19th-century botanical aesthetics through intertwining foliage and delicate surface printing. Both rooms look skyward in name and feeling, embracing the ethereal spirit of stars, breeze, and dreams once kindled on a Maine lakeshore.
The adjacent twin-bedded room is papered in Lafayette Botanical by Schumacher, a vibrant pattern inspired by 18th-century French chintz. Featuring florals and pineapples once prized along global trade routes, the design evokes an era of curiosity, abundance, and cross-cultural beauty.
