The Sanibel FlyFishers will hold a Fly Tying Night on May 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sanibel Fly Outfitters on Sanibel. It will be a general session for tying and talking, with pizza available. Those with vises, tools and materials are asked to bring them.

Our “Fly Fish by Paddlecraft” event at Estero River Outfitters was a big success! Tying, casting, and paddling in an action-packed afternoon. Special thanks go to Justin Stuller, Drei Stroman, Al Kuhre, Dee Kelly, Larry Kendzior, Chad Gillis, MJ Provencher, David Milne, Jim Stone and Sanibel Fly Outfitters. Another fine Casting Tuesday at Lakes Park- this time with special guest with casting legend Steve Rajeff. Steve shared his expertise for a full morning of casting. Southwest Florida has become a hotbed for competitive casting and the turnout was impressive.

Another outstanding and memorable FFSWFL event thanks to the talented Mr. Wayne Samson. He tied two of his deer hair creations for our group at Mission BBQ in Fort Myers. Special thanks to Joe Slavoski and MJ Provencher for making this day happen.
