Happy Labor Day from Alpine Amusement 🎡
Labor Day always gives us a reason to reflect on the people behind the scenes who make each season possible.
We are incredibly grateful for our hardworking full-time staff who come together each year from the United States, Mexico, Honduras and South Africa. Different countries, different backgrounds, but for much of the year, one team and one family. The long days, late nights, travel, setup and teardown—and everything in between—wouldn’t be possible without their dedication.
We’re equally thankful for the many college students and seasonal employees who spend their summers working alongside them. They may come to us looking for a summer job, but we hope they leave with something more: friendships, experiences, a strong work ethic and connections with people they may never have otherwise had the opportunity to know.
Recently, one of our former college employees sent us this photo while studying abroad with Semester at Sea. Her travels took her to Cape Town, South Africa, where she was able to reconnect with one of our South African H-2B employees and spend the day with him and his friends.
Her message ended with:
“Definitely one of my highlights of abroad! Thankful for the connections the carnival gave us.”
That one sentence meant so much to us. ❤️
The carnival may be what brings all of these people together, but the friendships, experiences and connections they make can reach far beyond the midway—and sometimes all the way across the world.
This Labor Day, we’re especially thankful for every person who works beside us and has become part of the Alpine family. We couldn’t do what we do without you.
