Well, what happened was, that second game, we got our asses kicked. In the second half, we just got our asses totally kicked. We couldnt do diddley poo offensively, we couldnt make a first down, we couldnt run the ball, we didnt try to run the ball, we couldnt complete a pass – we sucked. The second half, we sucked. We couldn’t stop the run. Every time they got the ball, they went down and got points. We got our asses totally kicked in the second half – that’s what it boiled down to. It was a horsesh*t performance in the second half. Horsesh*t. Im totally embarrassed and totally ashamed. Coaching did a horrible job. The players did a horrible job. We got our asses kicked in that second half. It sucked. It stunk. (Jim Mora in one of the all-time classic post-game rants)

When word broke of wide receiver James Jones’s trip to Green Bay with the Packers, it seemed like a good bet that Jones would be rejoining his original NFL team as they move forward without Jordy Nelson this season.

It didn’t take long after his arrival for Jones to agree to stay in town. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the 2007 third-round pick is signing with the team on Sunday.

Reporters met Jones at the airport and he said that it was good to be back with the Packers. He’s not crazy about the reason for the need at receiver since he and Nelson were teammates for several years

“To be honest with you, I didn’t even think about [the injury opening the door for a return] man,” Jones said, via the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “Me and Jordy are so close. The only thing I thought about was my man missing a whole season. I know how hard that dude works. I didn’t even think about it. I just called him. At first I texted him said, ‘Please tell me it’s not true.’ I texted him right when I heard and after he told me it was true. No, man. I was trying to make that team. I really didn’t think about coming back. I was just praying for that guy.”
